ANRI`s special Millennium Triptych launched in 1999 during the
International Atlanta Gift-show ANRI artisans and management have
now again proven their creativeness and realized a large sized
Triptych with Height of 17 ½ " (45cm) Open Length 22 ¾"
(58 cm) Closed Length 11 ½ " (29cm) Relief Depth 2 ½ "
(4.5cm ) depicting a relief carving of the Holy family with wise men
and shepherd group –fully hand painted on solid lime wood.
In order to carve and paint this beautiful piece of art a 6 months period of skilled
hard labor were needed to complete this unique piece. |

Bethlehem belonged to the Roman world empire, in the city and in the Country there were Roman soldiers which patrol at that time; therefore it could be quite possible that one of them was in the proximity of the crib when Jesus was born and mixed himself with devotion between the shepherds. With the "Holy Land" Nativity, we would like to mediate to the Nativity lovers the atmosphere, which ruled in that period of time. We think that also a soldier should not be missing between the other Nativity figures and are sure that you will approve this new figurine.

The History of the Chess
While the exact time and place of origin of
the Chess Game is unknown, we do know that it
came
to Arabia in the seventh century A. C. from
India via Persia. From Arabia, chess was brought
to the west both by the Saracens, through
conquering the Mediterranean as well as through
normal trade channels.
The passing of centuries brought about
considerable change in the chessmen themselves.
For example the Arabian vizier was changed into
the queen, the elephant into the bishop, the
war-cart into the rook. Also, during the passing
of time the rules were changed somewhat as in
former times the queen and bishop were allowed
to overleap two squares only each move. For many
years now ANRI has been world-famed for the
finest woodcarvings, your guarantee for the
highest quality. The chess set illustrated in
this catalog is made from selected seasoned hard
woods.
